Nasturtium - Assorted Colors - 50 Seeds

$8.00

These pretty and tasty flowers can be grown in CONTAINERS or as GROUND COVER!

I'd like to add that not only are the seeds QUICK to germinate (7-10 days) but our little shop is super QUICK to ship! Your order is typically on its way the next day.

Nasturtiums are one of our favorites here on Mulberry Lane Farm. Easy to grow and pretty to look at and yummy to eat - all parts of the flower are edible! They have a slightly peppery taste and make a great addition to salads and stir fry. They also make a beautiful garnish! In addition, with their red, yellow, orange flowers they are very effective companion plants because they are a "trap crop" - the mustard oil the flowers produce is like a magnet to garden pests!

Plant the seeds in full sun about a half inch deep and 10 to 12 inches apart.
Plants will appear 7 - 10 days after sowing the seeds.
Water regularly, but don't overwater.

Nasturtiums are perfect for children to plant, grow and tend.

Planting Tip: Gently rub the seeds with a nail file to aid germination; nasturtiums have a hard seed coat.

BRIGHT HORIZON SEEDS of Mulberry Lane Farm is a component of our "Up on the Farm" program, the agriculture, hands-on, hearts-in education endeavor for Differently-Abled Adults located in Ventura County, California.

Bright Horizon farmers - the Crew - help plant, grow, weed, glean, clean, and package the bounty on this small southern California farm. What you have purchased comes to you by way of the hands and hearts of the Crew, the "differently-abled" volunteers of Bright Horizon Seeds. Your seed purchase not only helps defray operating expenses of the "Up on the Farm" program but, most importantly, is proof positive for the Crew that they've DONE IT - FROM SEED TO SALE! An incredible accomplishment!!
