French Marigold - 200 Seeds

Homegrown and handpicked and packed with care and love by our differently-abled farmers atatending our Up on the Farm day program! French Marigold, Tagetes patula, lives and loves the flower and vegetable gardens and the tropical fruit groves and wide open spaces we have here on our southern California farm. Full shade, full sun, all kinds of soil. The seeds germinate quickly, sprouting within a few days and blooming in about 8 weeks, making them easy to grow from seeds. The marigold flowers bring the color of sunshine as well as butterflies, bees, ladybugs, and other beneficial insects. Here on the farm they bloom from spring through fall.

Because they're easy to grow, everyone can enjoy the excitement and satisfaction of helping new life emerge from the earth soil! And a bonus feature of the marigolds we have in our vegetable garden is they help protect the vegetables from predators and pests like whiteflies and bad nematodes.
