African Wild Cassia (Senna didymobotrya) This beautiful, vibrant yellow flowering plant will brighten your horizon each year in zones 10-11, everywhere else the brightening lasts til the first freeze. The plant also goes by the name "Popcorn Cassia" - it smells a bit like popcorn! It's an ornamental plant here on Mulberry Lane Farm in California. The bushy, tall beauty stands sentry by the bricked path where the hard-working harvester - a Bright Horizon farmer/volunteer carefully and meticulously gathered the seeds pods and later opened the pods and gleaned the seeds for you and your garden! We love "Popcorn Cassia" and so do the bees and butterflies. And it is drought tolerant and deer resistant! It's a sun lover!
