Due to the recent Mountain Fire, Mulberry Lane Farm is suspending its 'Up on the Farm' program until further notice. Also, our participation in the Camarillo Farmers Market will be intermittently interrupted based on product availability. “Up on the Farm" - where nature, fun, and friends all meet up on a mountainside farm under wide open blue skies in Somis, California!

Mulberry Lane Farm is a place that blooms, blossoms and abundantly gives all year round! Six acres of beautiful, uncommon, and in some cases even quite rare, tropical fruit trees and flowers and plants normally found in far off places all over the world live and thrive and sway in the breezes right here in Ventura County!

Along with all hands-on, hearts-in aspects of the farm, the Up on the Farm crews also operate a little seed shop they helped create called the Bright Horizon Seeds company. The small on-line seed shop on Etsy is where the crews share newly-learned skills and hone others - seed harvesting, seed saving, gleaning, cleaning, counting, packaging, and mailing seeds from various rare and tropical trees and flowers they've found on the 6 acres of Mulberry Lane Farm. Up on the Farm is where nature, fun, and friends all meet up on our mountainside farm under wide open blue skies in Somis, California! In addition, we operate a real in-person farmstand under the Mulberry Lane Farm tent at the Camarillo Farmers Market on Saturdays and the Thousand Oaks Farmers Market on Thursdays.

The differently-abled farmers participate in all aspects of these two initiatives: planting and growing vegetables, weeding/pruning/watering gardens, composting, gleaning/saving seeds, packaging and labeling and mailing seed packets, harvesting fruit and cleaning and sorting it and taking samples home before loading the truck up for Thursdays' and Saturdays' markets. 100% of all the proceeds from Bright Horizon's seeds and the farmers markets go toward supporting the Up on the Farm program.

Making a purchase from our special farmer's Etsy seed shop creates an uplifting wind beneath their wings - the crews love sharing the results of their hard work - lots of smiles are created in the Bright Horizon Seeds shop! And lots of beautiful and unusual plants and trees are created in new garden homes throughout the country!
